Come help the Charleston Parks Conservancy beautify community gardens while learning from local horticultural gurus what you can do to better your own garden.
The rectangular flower beds in Marion Square are in need of some clean up on June 16th, and the Chapel Street Fountain Park will have its day on June 21st. Finally, come get dirty at the Hazel Parker Playground on June 23rd.
If you're interested in volunteering your time, all Garden in the Parks events will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. However, don't show up empty-handed! You'll need you to bring your own tools like pruners, weeders, bucket, and gloves.
Pass the word along to your friends, then shoot an email to Paul Wentz or call the Charleston Parks Conservancy office at (843) 724-5003 and let them know you're coming.
For additional information and directions to each park, make your way to the Charleston Parks Conservancy's website.
