Mitchell Elementary School in downtown Charleston is looking for public input on a theme for the school, such as Montessori, digital technology, or foreign language immersion. School officials are asking members of the community to fill out a survey on the issue.

The school is also holding open houses Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The open houses will include tours of the school, located at 2 Perry St., just north of the Crosstown.
