Update: The zombies have already thwarted runners, but you can catch a swell video of the fun by Life in Rewind — check it out below.

To get you not only in shape, but also in to the Halloween spirit, sign up to run through a zombie infested 5k course at the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission’s Old Towne Creek.

The run will also be supporting the Charleston community's hungry, so bring some canned food to donate to the Lowcountry Food Bank. What else can you expect? Here's more from the official website:

Before, during and after the actual race there will be live entertainment, music, costume contests, rUNtdead kids’ area, vendors, food and beer. Innocent bystanders can witness the carnage and cheer on the RUNNERS (or ZOMBIES) from any of our several spectator clearings, if they can stomach it.
