Update March 13: The fantastic weather pulled through for a sunny celebration in North Charleston.
I tossed up a few quick shots up top, and NBC News 2 has a brief video; watch that here.
That good weather's still here, so go on and get outside.
First reporting: This Saturday, March 12th, join the community in celebrating the holiday at the 8th Annual St. Paddy's Day Block Party and Parade on East Montague Avenue of North Charleston's Olde Village.
The block party kicks off at noon and lasts until 8 p.m., providing you and your friends and family with a great opportunity to enjoy all that the party has to offer. Sit back and have fun with Irish dancing, live music, a mechanical bull, food vendors, a jump castle for the kiddies, and more.
The party will take place on East Monteque Avenue, between Virginia Avenue and O'Hear Avenue.
The block party is sponsored by Madra Rua Pub (www.madraruapub.com).
