The Grand Strand Optimist Club is hosting a "Safety on Wheels" event to promote bicycle safety for youth along the Grand Strand.

This Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church (Grissom Campus), the Grand Strand Optimist Club presents The Bike Rodeo and Safety on Wheels. The event will include bike inspections, safety inspections, bike decorating, a bike parade, a bicycle autocross course (with the Myrtle Beach Police and Fire Departments participating) along with free food and refreshments. There will also be a bicycle giveaway, with free helmets to all children who attend the event.
