Corporal Ryan Fackey spent his Veterans Day giving a stranger the gift of life.

Making a difference in Iraq wasn't enough for Fackey, so he decided to continue his quest to help people living harder lives than himself. In an act of selflessness, he underwent surgery on Wednesday at the Medical University of South Carolina to give his kidney to 15-year-old Dani Jones of Columbia.
