Charlestonians needing a fix of Cajun cooking just lucked out: "The Crescent Connection Bistro" has expanded from just catering into being a full blown restaurant.
The bistro offers all the classics you'd expect: corn macheaux, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, and red beans and rice. And they're all made of ingredients brought over from New Orleans, and made by a New Orleans chef.
Holly Herrick has a write-up about the tasty eats, and The Post and Courier has a Q&A with head chef Iran Coleman.
The bistro is in Pinder Plaza at 1910 East Montague Avenue in North Charleston.
Open Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 5 - 9 p.m. Saturday 5 - 9 p.m. and brunch on the last Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (843) 529-0777.
