TheDigitel.com, or The Digital Telegraph, was formed in Charleston in 2008 to fill the need for an easy-to-use, comprehensive Web site for local news coverage. We exist to make your life easier by organizing what's out there and helping you find what you're looking for.
TheDigitel.com is the creation of Kenneth Hawkins and Christopher Giganti. It is owned and operated by Giant Hawk Media. Both Ken and Chris worked in the newspaper industry for nearly a decade before coming up with the idea for TheDigitel.com and deciding to venture out on their own to pursue the idea.
Geoff Marshall is their English import and multimedia editor for the site. Geoff brings with him invaluable experience having previously worked for the BBC News website in the UK before making the transatlantic crossing.
If you have am event which you think would make an interesting video story then please get in touch with us.
Comments and Suggestions
TheDigitel.com is devoted to the Charleston community, and we welcome any input regarding content or design on the Web site. You should look at this as a conversation between you and the news, not as an organization separate from the community. TheDigitel.com is run by people just like you.
