Conway Medical Center and Atlantic Urology Clinics will offer an additional prostate screening on Thursday, October 25 at Atlantic Urology Clinics with appointments that begin at 5:30 p.m.
The American Urological Association and the American Cancer Society recommend annual prostate screening exams in most men age 50 to 70. African American men or men with a family history of prostate cancer should begin screenings at the age of 40. The prostate screening involves a digital exam and a PSA laboratory blood test. The fee for the screening is $20 and appointments should be made through the physician office.
Since we're here and talking prostate cancer awareness, it's worth mentioning that Movember is coming up quickly.
