Economic hope sparks as two industrial companies look to expand in Charleston

A Summerville company that makes thin thread from melted glass is growing and an as-yet unnamed company looking to invest $70 million in North Charleston are giving hope that the long dark recession may be narrowing as smaller mid-sized businesses expand.
