Horry County ranks 5th in digital counties category

The National Association of Counties (NACo) ranks Horry County as 5th in the Digital Counties Survey for our area population. 

The Digital Counties Survey identifies the very best examples of how counties are aligning technology to support strategic priorities and create crucial operations and administrative efficiencies. Horry County took fifth place award for the population category 250,000  – 499,999.

More than 2,000 county officials were gathered to set national policies and share ideas on how revenue-challenged counties can better serve communities at the National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference in Portland, Oregon. Council Chairman Tom Rice, Councilman James R. Frazier, Councilman Paul Price and Chief Information Officer Sheila Butler were on hand to share in Horry Counties experiences.
