Apparel company American Marketing Enterprises Inc. is setting up an import operation that will bring several hundred containers through the Wando Welch and North Charleston terminals throughout the 2010 retail season.

The private-label sleepwear firm, has signed on to use Regal Logistics’ Charleston warehouse to import and ship children’s sleepwear to Walmart distribution centers starting in July. According to the Charleston Regional Business Journal, Regal will hire between 10 and 20 local workers to support the increase in import-export business at its Charleston facility.
