Construction crews are working on much more than just 787 Dreamliner fuselages on Boeing Co.'s 150-acre campus in North Charleston.

According to an article in today's Post and Courier, Charleston architecture firm, McMillan Pazdan Smith have been selected to redesign The Hub that will feature food services, a medical clinic, a human resources office and a retail shop. The Hub is slated to be completed in tandem with the new final assembly building.

Also in the works is the delivery center, where top airline executives and their guests will be handed the keys to their multimillion dollar purchases; which upon completion, will make Charleston one of only three places in the world where wide-body jets are handed over.

A painting facility, a centralized maintenance shop and a 36,894-square-foot security checkpoint and welcome center are also under construction.
