The driver and three passengers of a Mercury Grand Marquis face various charges after being pulled over for a broken tag light.

After the Charleston police officer pulled over the vehicle, he noticed a passenger throw an object from the car, which was later identified as a firearm.

Police charged Cordero Porcher, 23, with possession of a stolen firearm; Gerald Simmons, 22, with restricted license and tag light violations; and Damen Simmons, 20, and Nathanial Brown, 20, with having an open container.
