Larry Matthews, 50, is dead after an argument with an acquaintance turned physical around 2 p.m. on Friday, December 26, at his Johns Island home on Spence Drive.

Joseph Henry Laboard, 55, has been charged with murder. The cause of death is not yet clear, but there were no gunshot or stabbing wounds.
