One dead, one facing a DUI after early morning I-26 wreck

Just before 2 a.m. this morning, 20-year-old Evelyn Freeman of Goose Creek wrecked her SUV into Interstate 26's median.

The accident resulted in the death of Freeman's car's passenger, I-26 being closed for several hours, and Freeman being charged with driving under the influence.

Witnesses reported Freeman driving recklessly just prior to the accident.

Freeman could be facing up to 25 years in prison.

Let this be a lesson to all of us not to drive drunk. It's a simple rule to follow--if you drink, get a cab.
