Police make arrest in shooting and look for two more

Benjamin Goss 5' 11"Police have arrested Deontray Bellman, 18, and are looking for two more after a man was found shot around 3 a.m. Wednesday in North Charleston.

Martez Brown, 24, and Benjamin Goss, 24, and Bellman are all facing charges of Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill.

Officers found Brian Lenard Ancrum was found with a gunshot wound to the back at the 3800 block of Ashley Shores Drive.

The police investigation imply that a dispute led to the shooting where witnesses reported that 3 or 4 black males "armed with handguns and a rifle, exited a white in color four door automobile and began shooting in the direction of Ancrum and others. The automobile described by witnesses was later discovered at the residence of Deontray Bellman along with an AK 47 rifle in a bedroom closet," according to a press release from the North Charleston Police Department.

Police ask that "anyone with information on the whereabouts of Martez Brown and Benjamin Goss are asked to call North Charleston Police at 554-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111. Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous."
