Update April 2: The Post and Courier has a day-after report that offers little new in the way of essential facts, but far more in the context of why the judge excepted a plea.

Update April 1, 12:58 p.m.: Ethan Mack pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter this afternoon in the murder of Kate Waring and has been was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

Update April 1: NBC News 2 is reporting that Ethan Mack is expected to enter a guilty plea and be sentenced today.

Last week fellow suspect Heather Kamp plead guilty and it was made known that she would again be positioned to testify against Mack.

First reporting: In October a jury deadlocked over a murder charge against Ethan Mack in the brutal slaying Kate Waring, and now a retrial date has been set: April 2011.

The new date allows time for new evidence to be gathered. Mack is currently serving a 15-year sentence for convictions on forgery and obstruction.
