Summerville man admits to defrauding CT out of $300,000

Ralph Hymans, 87, pled guilty on Thursday to one count of mail fraud.
Hymans admitted to cheating Connecticut out of approximately $313,000 over 14 years. Hymans revealed that each year from 1995 to 2009, he told the Department of Labor that he was employed and let go by a company called Monroe Management. He continued collecting unemployment even after moving to South Carolina.
Hymans could get up to 20 years when sentenced on June 14th.
