West Ashley robbery reported; all for $6 and a couple of phones (update: 2nd robbery in area)

Image by Flickr user cattias.photos Six of these, two cell phones, and a lottery ticket--that's what people are stealing these days.

Update April 25: It seems as though yet another robbery has occured at the Cypress Cove Apartments at 3950 Mary Ader Avenue.

But this time, the robbers were caught. On Friday, April 22nd, Anthony Heyward, 17, and another suspect were arrested for robbing a 27-year-old man at gunpoint.

While the two robberies haven't been connected, it does seem odd that two armed robberies should happen in the same apartment complex within five days of each other.

First reporting: Late Sunday night, a 34-year-old West Ashley man reports being robbed by two men outside of his apartment at 3950 Mary Ader Avenue.

According to the report, two men robbed the victim of $6, two Droid cell phones, and a Florida lottery ticket.

Seems like quite the pointless loot--unless the lottery ticket is a winner, that is.

Police are still on the look-out for the suspects; for descriptions, check out The Post and Courier's article here.
