A good year for the right whale calving season: 20 newborns counted

Usually, right whales make headlines for an untimely demise of one of their count or controversial protective legislation -- not this time.
Aerial survey teams tracking the endangered North Atlantic right whales -- of which some 450 remain -- are making different waves after aerial survey teams noted 20 new calves after their annual breeding season off the South Carolina-Georgia coast.
