Trucker hats, tennis balls, food packaging, love letters in bottles -- all sorts of interesting things turn up when 6,000 folks fan out for the 22nd annual Beach Sweep/River Sweep to collect some 50 tons of trash from South Carolina waterways and marshes.
In the Charleston area more than 2,000 came out and The Post and Courier has a write-up and photo gallery, and down in Hilton Head 1,500 came out and The Island Packet has a report.
