School board agrees to revoke Greg Mathis High School's charter

North Charleston's Greg Mathis Charter High School could be shut down at the end of this school year.

This isn't the first time that the Charleston County School Board have threatened to revoke the school's charter - it's the third time in four years.

According to The Post and Courier, to date, the school has "failed to provide the district with a financial audit for three years; failed to reimburse the district $45,370 for employee insurance benefits; and failed to pay $1,026 to the state Education Department."

The Post and Courier has the story.
