North Charleston's rail reducing plan continuing to inch forward

Though Norfolk Southern has said no way to North Charleston's big plan to make rail co-exist with its neighborhoods and the new port to be done in 2017, Mayor Keith Summery's plan appears to be inching forward, for now.
The group backing the city's plan, which includes the other major local rail carrier CSX, met with officials from the S.C. Department of Commerce and the S.C. Public Railways division to make their case as to why the city's plan is the best plan.
No decisions were made, still the meeting appears to be pivotal, and you can get a nice rundown of what happened over at the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
