$200 million stimulus extension headed this way

While it is unclear when the state will receive the federal money, the U.S. Senate has approved a six-month extension for stimulus-related state health care money.

The extension will bring in $200 million to restore cuts that would have eliminated services for 26,000 disabled people, cut state-funded health care for low-income families and restrict prescription dugs for Medicaid patients.
