With a similar vibe to The Citadel's tuition announcement, the College of Charleston has announced that its 2011-12 tuition will focus on not increasing fees for in-state students.
And the college has one-upped The Citadel (who rose in-state tuition 3.5%) by saying the fees will remain the same for 2011-12.
But as with The Citadel, out-of-state students aren't so lucky; their rates will go up 5%.
Undergraduate South Carolina students will pay $9,616 in annual tuition. Out-of-state students will pay $24,330. Graduate school tuition will be $10,580 for in-state residents and $26,764 for out-of-state residents.
The College of Charleston Board of Trustees will meet on June 30 to approve a final budget for 2011-12.
