I-526 expansion: Hundreds stand in silent protest at James Island meeting
The emblem of the opposition.
At a meeting at James Island Charter High School about the plans to extend I-526 to connect James and Johns islands to the rest of the 526 loop, some 400 people stood in silent protest to the road's completion.
The Post and Courier has the best (and only) write-up I've seen on the meeting; read it here.
There's one more public meeting left, and that's tonight, September 9, at St. John's High School at 1518 Main Road on Johns Island at 5 p.m.
