Update November 11: The Post and Courier writes that the raises have been approved.
If you don't like it, remember you can vote that way as the city officials are up for election next November, which is when the raises will kick in.
First reporting: A study by a South Carolina group has recommended a 13.3% raise for North Charleston's mayor and council after the next election. While not yet approved by council, the news is already ruffling feathers.
