After an eight-year hiatus, Kenyan runner Catherine Ndereba, a.k.a. "Catherine the Great," is lacing up and participating in Saturday's Cooper River Bridge Run.

According to The Post and Courier, the nickname stems from Ndereba's four wins at the Boston Marathon, two at the Chicago Marathon, silver medals in consecutive Olympic marathons in 2004 and 2008, and three consecutive wins in the Bridge Run in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
