(Update July 2: The Post and Courier has followed up with an expanded report. We updated the link below.)

The final court settlement has been reached among the Sofa Super Store and its owners and the families of the nine Charleston firefighters who lost their lives in the 2007 blaze.

Sofa Super Store agreed to pay about $1.9 million in a wrongful death lawsuit to the families, effectively closing the book on all lawsuits surrounding the massive fire.

If you're into that kind of thing, you can read the settlement papers. If you're just looking for an article explaining all the legal terminology, hop over to the report in The Post and Courier.
