No good news on the educational job front here.

State schools Superintendent Jim Rex said today that by the upcoming school year, 3,800 education employees will lose their jobs, including about 2,500 teachers.

The numbers take into account all 85 school districts in the state which employ about 50,000 teachers.

The Post and Courier has the story.
