Three Aynor High School students have made their school and parents proud this week.

Junior Antanise Lewis and senior Katrina Miller took first place at the South Carolina Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America competition that was held in Columbia, SC. The two received almost perfect scores and won them the gold. Their scores will allow them to move on to the national competition.

Eating right for children was the main topic of the girls' project, watch the report over at WMBF News. This was the first time in ten years that anyone from Aynor High School has won and has the opportunity to go off to the national championships.

The third Aynor High School student making news this week is, Peter Barfield. Peter is one of only two South Carolina students to be accepted into Harvard University. Barfield and 1,799 other kids from across the nation were the only students to be accepted into Harvard out of 38,000 applicants.

Watch SCnow.com's report and learn a little more about Peter and his goal of putting Aynor "on the map."
