Charleston NAACP dissatisfied with Charleston County schools

More than 50 community members came out for the Charleston NAACP's town hall meeting yesterday to criticize and vocalize their disappointment over the poor level of education in Charleston County schools.

The reactions at yesterday's meeting were very similar to those at the Charleston County's school budget meeting held earlier this month at Burke High School.

The general consensus at the NAACP meeting was that if change is to be made and the school system is to be improved upon, the community must get involved and raise their collective voice.

The Post and Courier was on hand at yesterday's meeting; get the details here.
