Prognosis is grim for aging warship USS Yorktown (updated)

First reporting:
The Post and Courier reports that Patriots Point may be fighting a losing battle in its attempts to save the deteriorating warship USS Yorktown.
The Department of the Navy sent Patriots Point an ultimatum to either put the vessel in dry-dock for repairs or develop a plan to dispose of the aging ship. The cost to repair the rusting hull is estimated to cost the state of $100 million.
