Waste sludge spill fouls up downtown Charleston road

Spilling several wheelbarrows worth of treated sludge from the Plum Island Waste Water Treatment Plant near Johns Island, a dump truck brought stench and traffic delay to northbound lanes of Lockwood Drive around 2:30 p.m. today.

A foul thing indeed.
