While being interviewed for The Atlantic's "First Draft of History" conference, Republican senator from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham was asked about fringe elements of the Right, like the Birthers.

[And, yes, he later went onto explain that the comment was not: He is not Muslim and is therefore a good man. -- You think politicians would have that down by now.]

Lately I've been impressed with Graham's ability to side-step much of the political nonsense.
