In an interview with our governor, Mark Sanford, over the future of the Republican Party, Fox News asked about the possibility of Sarah Palin as the "future." Sanford, unable to help himself, laughed, but he quickly got back on cue and said, "Certainly, she’s among the mix."

I think that fairly well cements Sanford in the camp of the traditional Republican Party that wants the Christian Right's influence tamed.

Then again, Sanford's know for a gaff or two in televised interviews.
