In a few months the Horry County Council will meet to discuss their budget at the spring retreat. 

Council members are looking for more funds for public safety, specifically the Horry County Fire Department which had a slight budget cut last session. There is one subject that has some council members at odds and that is the "three-tenths of a millage property tax increase" to help fund the Coastal RTA.

The Horry County Council is also looking to give back to some of its employees who may have had to endure pay cuts and looking to increase employee wages. Head on over to The Sun News for all the details.
