Budget tightening is a fact of life across the country now. From Capital Hill, to the States and down to the municipal level, tightening that belt has become a neccesity. The same is said for Horry County Schools. 

Horry County school board members are meeting Monday Night in Conway to discuss the  budget for the upcoming years. Also, on the docket for the evening discussion of goals and expectations for the years to come.

Horry County Schools Superintendent Dr. Cindy Elsberry said last week that the district anticipates having to make some personnel cuts for the upcoming school year. These cuts would be in response to the state’s need to cut its overall budget.
