State's students do better on exit exam

More of South Carolina's students passed the state exit exam on their first try this year.

The state uses the HSAP (High School Assessment Program) as an exit exam required for a South Carolina high school diploma and a federally mandated testing program to measure high school progress.

Update November 8: The Post and Courier has followed up with some local analysis, and notes that Dorchester 4 had the lowest scores in the tri-county area, and was also the only district no to improve.
