Rising High Café’s Hoagies and Heroes campaign has partnered with the Center for Women to bring Charleston the “Power Up Panini” for the month of August.
The sandwich was created by Terry Haas, featured realtor on HGTV’s Designed to Sell and local Charlestonian. Ten percent of proceeds from the sandwich will benefit the Center for Women, an organization focused on providing empowerment and making personal and professional success an everyday event for women in the Lowcountry.
The “Power Up Panini” ingredients include: chicken breast, avocado spread, tomato basil pesto, sprouts and Provolone cheese all grilled in Focaccia bread. The sandwich is $8.00 and includes a side item and fountain drink. Additionally, each purchase of the “Power Up Panini” includes automatic entry to win a free one-hour in-home design consultation from Terry.
“I am such a huge fan of the Center for Women and what they do to empower women and help build social and professional networks for success,” said Haas. “This campaign is a fantastic opportunity for me to get to work with them and to tie in with a local restaurant that is giving back to the community – what a great honor for me to be able to do this!”
Each month a local charity will select a spokesperson to build a sandwich on their behalf with a portion of the proceeds from the sandwich sales going back to the organization.
“Terry has a unique talent for empowering homeowners to succeed in the real estate market,” said Amanda Bunting Comen, interactive media manager for the Center for Women. “The Center for Women is dedicated to empowering women in our community to succeed both personally and professionally. We are delighted to have Rising High Café and Terry Haas combine forces to support our efforts!”
Future sandwiches for the Hoagies and Heroes campaign will be created on behalf of A Dog for Kate, Lowcountry Local First and more.
“As a local business, we feel that it’s important to be a part of the Charleston community,” said Cliff Lowder, owner of Rising High Café. “We’re really excited about this campaign because giving back is an essential part of our philosophy. And, we get to do it by doing what we do best – making great food!”
