RPWB Announces September Charity for ‘Ten Months of Giving’ Campaign

Local law firm commemorates its 10th anniversary celebration with donation to Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, Inc.

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (Sept. 26, 2012) — Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman, LLC <http://www.rpwb.com/>  (RPWB) has given $5,000 to Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, Inc. <http://www.catrfarms.org/>  (CATR), a non-profit organization that improves the lives of children and adults with disabilities and the area’s oldest nationally accredited therapeutic horseback riding center.  The donation was made as part of RPWB’s “10 Months of Giving” campaign, an initiative to give $55,000 to area charities over a 10-month period in celebration of the firm’s 10th anniversary.

CATR staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping students find joy and accomplishment through equine assisted activities and therapies. CATR has served individuals with varied disabilities and conditions since 1991. Certified instructors, physical therapists, doctors, psychologists, special education teachers, and a well-trained volunteer corps serve more than 140 disabled children and adults.

RPWB Member and Business Manager Jay Ward said, “Ten years of helping clients locally and nationwide is a significant milestone for us, and we want to do something that not only celebrates this milestone, but also celebrates our community.”

September marks the final month in which RPWB will award $5,000 to a local charity.  In October – the tenth month of the campaign, community members will have the opportunity to vote on RPWB’s Facebook page <https://www.facebook.com/pages/RPWB-Celebrates-10-Years-of-Giving-Back/259802950759732>  for their favorite charity of the nine previous donation recipients.
