USC's hopes of taking the Music City Bowl aren't to be, but Clemson's the one who's gotten a harder knock, falling to the lowest bowl they could possibly get.

Clemson faces Kentucky at the Music City Bowl on Sunday, December 27, at 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) and South Carolina will take on UConn in Birmingham in the Papa John's Bowl on Saturday, January 2, at 2 p.m. (ESPN.)

The State has a nice write-up from USC's angle and a short one on Clemson, but the best I've seen, yet.
