College of Charleston's baseball season came to an end on Monday afternoon when No. 4 ranked Coastal Carolina scored in the top of the 10th to take an 11-10 victory and advance into the NCAA Super Regionals.

The game was a nail-biter down to the final out.

With the game in the balance and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, senior Joey Bergman knocked a slow-rolling ground ball to short and appeared to beat the throw at first, but was called out to cancel out the game-winning run for the Cougars. The Cougars' first base coach reacted by slamming his helmet to the ground, resulting in an immediate ejection from the game.

Coastal scored the game-winning run when Witten was able bolt from third and cross home on a wild pitch from the Cougars' junior reliever Heath Hembree.

Coastal moves on to play South Carolina in a best-of-three series beginning this weekend.
