Gamecocks WIN! College World Series Champs (Update: Welcome home champs)

Update 6/30: Welcome home celebrations were held all over Columbia yesterday.
- ABC news Channel 4 our of Charleston has a little write up and video showcasing some of the celebrations and fan reaction.
- ABC Columbia has a a similar write up and video, this one has a lot more fan reaction and S.C. Senator's reactions and their hopes to rename Carolina Stadium after Coach Tanner. Also, Columbia will be holding a parade for the Nation Champions.
Our South Carolina Gamecocks has taken the title of College World Series Champions two years in a row!
In a two-game sweep, the Gamecocks beat Florida 5-2 last evening. A series of close games and nail biter endings the Gamecocks have come away victorious for the second time in as many years. Besides National Champions, the Gamecocks baseball team has a couple of other note worthy achievements: 16 NCAA tournament wins, 11 straight game wins in the College World Series and the Cocks were the last team to win during the CWS at the Rosenblatt Stadium and the first team to win at the new TD Ameritrade Park.
