Mutiny fall short against Wilmington

Mutiny pre-game against the Hammerheads

This past Sunday the Myrtle Beach Football club had their first real test against the Wilmington Hammerheads.

With nearly 1,400 Hammerhead fans on hand at Legion Stadium, it was a chance for the Myrtle Beach Mutiny to a taste of what the National Premier Soccer League has to offer. While coming up on the losing end of the 4-1 bout, the Mutiny has learned where their weakness lies – organization and communication. The Mutiny has come a long way in such a short amount of time. The less than a month-old team is showing that they can hang with teams that have only lost one game this preseason.

The Lowcounty Crew was on hand to give a live "tweet by tweet" recap on the action of the Mutiny. You can follow them on Twitter here and on Facebook here. Also Ernesto Hernandez was capturing the action in photography form. Check out his previous MBFC photos on Facebook here.

Coach Thunder has a little over a month to work on the details that will be needed to compete in the NPSL when they play the Rocket City United on May 5th.
