While the rain has forced a reschedule of the Myrtle Beach 400 to March 22, 2013, there is word that something even bigger in the works for our local speedway.
When we talked with Bob Lutz prior to this year's season starting, we asked him what he saw for the future of the Myrtle Beach Speedway. In that conversation, he talked about the possibility of pulling in bigger series, such as K&N Pro Series, ARCA, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. According to ESPN.com, the biggest of the three mentioned may become a reality with a possible Camping World Truck Series date at the Myrtle Beach Speedway in 2014.
Greenville-Pickens Speedway, also in South Carolina, has a tentative date on the 2013 schedule and a Rockingham Speedway race in North Carolina is slated for April 14, 2013. Darlington Speedway lost its truck date in 2012.
