First reporting: The median price of a home sold in the Charleston area slid some 7% this November, compared to 2007's November. But, those homes generally sold faster, being on the market for some 105 days.

That picture of the local real estate market becomes more interesting when you consider the median sale price for homes in Berkeley County increased, and Dorchester County held steady.

What's it mean? The dip in median sale prices of homes in Charleston County was enough to pull down the tri-county average 7%.

It's reasonable to expect both media outlets to expand their coverage. We'll keep you posted. We're also hearing that foreclosure numbers are decreasing.
