Myrtle Beach Hotels Throw Twitter ‘Bash’ to Celebrate Spring, Summer at the Beach Participants Can Win Gift Certificates, Beach Balls and $1,000 Stay

A group of resorts in Myrtle Beach is taking the beach to Twitter during their second annual Twitter Beach Bash on February 24 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. EST. To get people excited about vacationing along the Grand Strand of South Carolina this spring and summer, will host the online event combining Myrtle Beach trivia, conversation and prizes, including a $1,000 gift certificate for accommodations.

During the bash, the company will give away a host of prizes if participants can answer questions about resorts correctly. Prizes include a gift card to Ruth’s Chris Steak House, two tickets to the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, two tickets to the One Show at the Alabama Theatre, two tickets to Wild Water Waterpark, two VIP tickets to Legends in Concert, a Sea Captain’s House restaurant gift certificate and more. Prize winners will be randomly chosen from those who submit the correct answer within the allotted time.

Participants can enter to win the Grand Prize $1,000 Gift Certificate for accommodations at resort in multiple ways. These include answering a prize question correctly during the Beach Bash, “tweeting” about the bash, writing a blog post about the bash or uploading a video to YouTube explaining why they deserve the Grand Prize Gift Certificate. The winner will be randomly selected from all the entries. See complete rules for the specifics. The Gift Certificate is valid at select resorts and is good for any date (based on availability). The Grand Prize winner will be announced February 25 at 2 p.m. EST on the resorts’ Twitter account @MBHotels.

The Beach Bash is a Twitter “party” where participants use a specific word starting with “#” (in this case the company has chosen #BeachBash) to flag their tweets. Then, participants can use a variety of applications to follow all posts that include the word #BeachBash to follow the conversation during the event. Organizers suggest using to follow the Beach Bash.
