Drivers might have noticed gas prices ticking up Tuesday, and officials say the increases are likely to continue after a run of dropping prices at the pumps.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Myrtle Beach increased 3 cents in 24 hours to $1.92 Tuesday, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge report. Gas prices, the lowest since 2009, nationally had fallen for a record 123 consecutive days before inching higher Jan. 27, AAA Carolinas says.

Still, the prices in Myrtle Beach are $1.15 a gallon less than this time last year, when gas cost more than $3 a gallon.
